Our tours let you zero in on what interests you. You don't have to be polite and wait around for other people in the bus or the car to get their fill of whatever you could do without. Even if something sounds interesting to you at first but seems stupid once you start getting into it, you can skip ahead to the next thing that at least sounds like it's up your alley. Listen or read, take your pick. The stops are arranged one after the other in the general direction you’re headed.
Catering to physical movement is somewhat limiting though. In the best of all possible worlds, you could hop from one place to another in your head the way our minds wandered that first night we met. But if you crave the immersive experiences each of the three of us had before we met and shared the impressions we got from our own immersive experiences, there's no substitute for getting out there. That's how you'll create a memory of a place that can then mingle in your mind with your memories of other places that will blossom as the new you. But enough of this. Back to the logistics of physical touring:
Say you’re going south after you leave Grand Canyon and you’re a rock hound or into star gazing or star trek. Well, Sine’s southbound tour would be the one for you. Or maybe you’re into American history and headed east. Well, my eastward trek might be the one. Take one, two, or take ‘em all. It’s all the same to us.
And just because one of us is heading up a tour doesn’t mean you only get one point of view. Lots of times we travel together. (It's more fun and cheaper.) And as you can see from that first time we met, we tend to mix it up. Which probably makes it more interesting for everybody.
If you’re at the Canyon now, you can start with stuff right around where you’re staying. If you’re not but are on our website now, you can hear what we can tell you about stuff you’ll be passing on your way to the Canyon. And if you're at the Canyon but going back home or somewhere else, you can pass by things we can tell you about as you're going away from the Canyon. Or skip all this and just hop around on our Map.
Here’s how the Tour panel works:
Clicking on a tour produces a list of the stops on that tour. To hear all the stops on that tour without interruption, click the headset next to the title of the tour that’s at the top of the stops list. This is like being on the bus where you make every stop.
To hear just stops you select, click the headset by the stop. This is a little chancy though since some stops have names that reflect somebody's opinion instead of physical features. When you're done hearing a stop, close the little audio window and resume your journey in the list of stops.
To read stops instead, click the name of the stop. To read another stop, get back to the list where you can then click the next stop you want to read. Etc.
And if you're driving, would you kindly let somebody else fiddle with the phone or laptop. Or if you're by yourself, pull over to do it. Hearing our stuff just isn't worth a crash, okay ?
So. Enjoy!
