First encounter: Map opens zoomed out so we're looking at the blue planet from far out in our flying saucer. We're coming in from the south, so you may need to drag Mexico down your window till the four-corners states come in view. We can see the vast distances previous expeditions have covered on foot or by sail. And we can see a whole range of places to visit, and where they are in relation to each other and to the routes of previous expeditions. - Zooming in just a notch, we get a clearer view of our immediate four-state area. Zooming in even more, we can get so close as to see whether we should turn left or right on one of the blue planet's roads to reach a particular place.

Once opened: map reappears quicker this session if minimized should you decide to abandon it for a bit.

使地图更大：最大化它的窗口和/或点击地图左边的3个垂直的小点，点击“折叠地图图例”，让地图覆盖列表位置。点击左上角的“图例”按钮可以重新获得列表。

Make map bigger: maximize it's window and/or click the 3 verticle dots just left of the map to click on “Collapse map legend” for map to cover list places. Regain the list by clicking on “Map legend” button at upper left.

缩放：用左下角的+号或-号。

Zoom: with the + or – sign at lower left corner.

在窗口内移动地图：按住鼠标左键同时拖动手。

Move map around within window: Drag the hand while pressing left mouse button.

定位一次探险，或者看看列出的地方在哪里：在列表中点击它。(地图就会移动过去显示它。)

Zero in on an expedition, or see where a listed place is: Click on it in the list. (The map may move to bring it into view.)

查看一个列出的探险路线或地点：在列表中点击它......单击气球中的“详细信息”。

Check out a listed expedition or place: Click on it in the list...... Click "Details" in the balloon.

在地图上查看探险路线或地点：点击探险路线的地图上的大头针或地点上的蓝色点。点击左边列表中的“详细信息”或“信息”。

Check out an expedition or place on the map itself: Click the expedition’s map pin or the place’s blue drop. Click "Details" or “Info” in the list on left.

从你所在的位置到一个地方，或者从一个地方到另一个地方获取方向：单击左上角红色条中的右指向箭头。搜索地点附近的印第安食物、住宿、药店等；点击地点气球中的“搜索附近”。

Get directions from where you are to a place, or from a place to somewhere else: Click right pointing arrow in red bar top left. ind food/lodging/meds etc. near a place: Click "Search near-by" in the place's balloon.

从你的飞碟看地面：转到完整列表的底部，点击那里的方形按钮。

Look at the ground from your flying saucer: Go to bottom of complete list to click on square button there.

从卫星视图返回到道路视图：点击相同的按钮。

Return from satellite view back to roads view: Click on the same button.
